San Miguel is just over an hour from Guanajuato in a really nice, clean, comfortable bus. They give you a snack and a beverage, and provide your choice of movie or music.
San Miguel is extremely picturesque. There is a large community of American retirees living here.

San Miguel is famous for its Parroquia, or parish church. The original church was built in 1683. (Side view.)
The Gothic facade was added in the 1880's by a local stonemason who copied the design from postcards of European churches. It is especially beautiful lit up at night. (Front view.)
