Crusty White Bread This is the one we like for croque monsieur sandwiches, French toast, and sage/onion dressing! 1-3/8 to 1-1/2 cups water 2 tablespoons olive oil 1-1/2 teaspoons salt 4 cups bread flour 1/4 cup wheat gluten 2 teaspoons yeast I baked this using the French bread setting and using 1-3/8 cups water. The dough was very stiff indeed.
