Buttonwood Canal, Everglades National Park. We took a 2-hour boat tour into the interior waterways of the Everglades, where we saw wild dolphins and many birds. The Everglades is not a swamp, but a huge, slow-moving, shallow "river" of fresh water. There are very few mosquitoes in the winter here. They only bothered us at dusk.
