Cornmeal Mush Makes one generous serving 1/3 cup cornmeal 1/3 cup cold tap water 1/3 teaspoon salt 1 cup hot tap water Put one cup of hot tap water in a measuring cup and microwave it on high for 2 minutes. While that is heating, put the corn meal and salt in a bowl and stir to combine. Then add the cold water and stir thoroughly to remove all the lumps. When the water is hot, add it to the bowl and stir. Microwave on high for one minute, then stop and stir thoroughly, then microwave 2 more minutes.
