Impossible Quiche No crust to roll out - it makes its own! 3 tablespoons finely grated Parmesan cheese 5 ounces swiss cheese, shredded (~2 cups) 4 ounces chopped ham (optional) 1 medium diced onion 1/2 cup flour 3/4 teaspoon baking powder 1/4 teaspoon pepper 1/4 tsp salt (if no ham) 1 cup half-and-half or 1/2 cup milk 4 large eggs 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard Adjust oven rack to lowest position and preheat to 350 degrees Grease 9-inch pie pan with butter, then coat plate evenly with Parmesan Saute the onions Sprinkle cheese, ham, and onions in bottom of prepared pie dish Combine dry ingredients Whisk in half-and-half, eggs, and mustard until smooth (or use Cuisinart or immersion blender) Slowly pour egg mixture into pan Bake on bottom rack until quiche is light golden brown and filling is set, 30 to 35 minutes Let cool on wire rack for 15 minutes. Slice into wedges. Serve warm.
